Backers Expecting Dragonfly Yokes in the UK
I don't know how many UK backers are still waiting for their prize, and it can't be long now, or have actually received theirs, like me but some may wish to convert to a third party handle, in which case you may need a connecting collar. The one recommended by Iris is not available in the UK, see my reply to Les's post https://forums.irisdynamics.com/showthre...926#pid926 post#2.

I have been able to source a dimensionally identical part here in the UK, except that it is a made of steel. The individual item is quite reasonably priced until you add the minimum order cost, delivery and VAT, it then becomes less of an option.

My thoughts are that if I purchased in bulk say minimum 10 units these would cost just under £5 each delivered to me. If there are enough interested parties then I would be willing to make a bulk purchase and supply those people at cost plus postage.

Just a thought unless anyone has an alternative

I'm also in the UK, with no plans to replace the handle at this point, but I'd be willing to pay £5 for a collar.

Count me in. (Ever hopeful.)

BTW, mature dragonflies generally only live for a few months, although some may have spent several years in the larval stage Undecided

That's three now.

The natural history comment seems rather apt, though let's hope the first part does not become reality in the flight sim context.

RE: Backers Expecting Dragonfly Yokes in the UK
Well I'm going to bite the bullet and order a few handle collars, my new handle board has arrived so I have my entertainment organised for the weekend. There was no data sheet or connection instructions with the unit but an e-mail to Kyle produced an immediate response with detailed info, well done again.

BTW those still waiting (surely not long now) take a look at the photographs here https://vs3.irisdynamics.com/kickstarter/ and here https://vs3.irisdynamics.com/forum/ , at the bottom, they wouldn't do that for show. At last things in the garden are looking rosy.

Glad to be able to report that the handle is still perfectly stable and performing perfectly, certainly with X_Plane 10 and latest beta. I would also recommend XPForce, at a little over £8 well worth it.

Hang in there

John
